Jay ‘Sinatraa’ Won recently returned to streaming on Twitch and queued up for ranked matches with Sentinels’ Shahzeb ‘ShahZaM’ Khan on June 2. Shortly after the two players began playing, multiple Twitch viewers flamed Sinatraa which left him in tears. Multiple ShahZaM viewers were upset with the two players queuing together due to the controversy surrounding Sinatraa who has been suspended due to ongoing investigations against him. The player was accused by his ex-girlfriend Cleo "cle0h" Hernandez. Tyson “TenZ” Ngo was recently added to the Sentinels roster as Sinatraa’s replacement and it may have affected the suspended player negatively.

Why Is Sinatraa Suspended by Riot Games

Sexual assault allegations were made against Sinatraa earlier this year the player has been temporarily suspended by Riot Games and Sentinels. So far, no evidence has been found against the player by Riot Games to come to a conclusion. However, Riot Games has stated that “Sinatraa misrepresented certain facts, made false statements, and did not cooperate with the investigation in a way expected of a professional Valorant esports player.” Due to his non-cooperation, the player has been suspended until September 10.

If no further developments happen in the investigation, the player is free to return to competitive Valorant. He will also be required to complete professional conduct training before returning to Sentinels’ active roster. However, with TenZ joining the Sentinels roster, it is unknown if the team will retain Sinatraa in the active roster.

Why Twitch Viewers Turned Against Sinatraa and ShahZaM

Due to the nature of the accusations against Sinatraa, ShahZaM’s viewers were not happy with the Sentinels IGL playing with the suspended player. After being flamed by some viewers, Sinatraa broke down and said “I just wish people knew man.” Sinatraa said that he will no longer be duo queuing with anyone moving forward. He explained, “That’s what happens when I play with other streams,” he said. “That’s why I don’t do it because the chat just attacks them nonstop.”

Fans were also upset with ShahZaM, who said that queuing with Sinatraa was a mistake. He explained “I didn’t think it through. I just got invited to play and I played. It was honestly a mistake, I put myself in a really sh***y situation. I’m sorry. I didn’t think it would turn into this.”

ShahZaM stopped playing with Sinatraa after receiving angry messages from fans but viewers kept pressing him on the matter. He switched his chat to sub-only mode and clarified that his decision to play with Sinatraa should not be seen as him taking a side. He added “Don’t think that I’m taking a stance or [making] a statement or some bulls***. I do not support r***.”
