ASUS ROG Academy Season 2 Registrations Begin for Valorant

  • ROG Academy is back with Season 2 with registrations for Valorant opening up for aspiring pro players.
  • Candidates will have to go through a screening process and be a part of the tryouts to be selected by ROG.
  • Six candidates will be shortlisted who will get to attend a 3-month learning program.

ROG is back with Season 2 of its Academy program to help aspiring esports professionals. Season 1 focused on CS:GO while Season 2 will be focusing on Valorant and registrations are now open for all players. Aspiring professional players can become a part of the Riot-approved ASUS Academy program which is being organized in partnership with AFK Gaming and The Esports Club. Players will be selected via tryouts and selected candidates will get to get the opportunity to learn directly from esports personalities and will receive infrastructural support and a monthly stipend from ROG. 

ROG Academy Season 2 Overview

The program will help aspiring pros with the right skills to become professional Valorant players. Candidates who sign up via the open registration forms will be shortlisted based on their responses. Candidates will be screened via panelists ahead of the tryouts. 

Six players will be selected to be a part of the Academy Program in Season 2. They will be mentored by experienced professionals

Here are the eligibility conditions: 

  • Participants must be of Indian nationality and residing in India.
  • Participants must be at least 16 years old.
  • Participants between the age of 16 and 18 must submit a consent form signed by their legal guardian.

ROG Academy Perks

There are multiple perks that you get as a ROG Academy member. These include: 

Direct Access to Experts: Experienced professionals like Mansoor “Nabu” Ahmed and Nikhil “Sieh” Bhansali from The Esports Club will be mentoring the selected candidates. There will also be guest sessions and special classes with other prominent members of the esports community.  

Comprehensive Curriculum: A core curriculum has been set up by ROG and its partners to ensure Academy members have an understanding of the highest level of competition. Since Vaqlorant is a much newer title, the curriculum will focus on the basics of FPS titles along with macro strategies and approaches to the game and its specific needs.

ROG Support: ROG will offer free equipment and a monthly stipend to the final six members of ROG Academy. 

3-Month Long Session: Academy members will have access to a three-month learning experience and work with industry experts. 

About ROG Academy 

ASUS ROG Academy is made possible through a partnership between ROG, AFK Gaming and esports professionals who will be part of the program. Asus India Business Head Arnold Su revealed that the ROG Academy program is meant to “contribute positively towards the esports ecosystem by assisting and training budding gamers, providing them with a platform to translate their aspiration into reality.”
