  • Sinatraa from Sentinels' Valorant roster has been suspended due to allegations of sexual assault against him surfacing recently.
  • Riot Games and Sentinels are conducting investigations and will update on the situation at a later date.
  • Overwatch is offering refunds for Sinatraa's Alien skin and the MVP badge honouring the player will be removed from the cosmetic in a future update.

Sentinels’ Valorant pro player Jay “Sinatraa” Won has been suspended from the organization after his ex-girlfriend Cleo “Cle0h” Hernandez posted a 9-page document detailing instances of sexual assault. Cle0h claimed that Sinatraa physically and emotionally abused her which she supported with screenshots and audio recordings. Sentinels and Riot have launched investigations and Sinatraa has been indefinitely suspended. The pro player released a statement of his own and said that he is cooperating with the investigations. It remains to be seen if the accusations are true and if Sinatraa will be replaced by Sentinels in the future. Sentinels is currently among the top Valorant teams in NA and Sinatraa’s absence is likely to affect the organization.

Sinatraa’s Response To the Situation

Sinatraa responded to the accusations stating “It is clear from Cleo’s recent post that she recalls our relationship differently than I do. What we do agree on is that it was unhealthy for the both of us. I apologize to Cleo and regret how things ended, but I never assaulted her in any way. I am fully cooperating with the investigations and providing the full audio and video clips Cleo referenced in her post.”

Sinatraa is a former Overwatch League pro who switched to Valorant in 2020 after becoming San Francisco shock’s MVP and helping his former team with OWL 2019. SF Shock also released a statement revealing “While Jay is no longer a member of the San Francisco Shock, we think it is important to re-emphasize our position of zero tolerance in situations like these.”

Sentinels and Riot Games are Conducting Investigations

Riot Games’ Global Head of competitive operations revealed that it is aware of the current situation regarding Jay “Sinatraa” Won and has launched an internal investigation. Sentinels has suspended the player from the roster until the end of its own investigation. There is no word on when the investigations are expected to conclude and fans will have to wait until a formal announcement is made from Sentinels or Riot Games.

The Overwatch League has also released a statement revealing that it is aware of the allegations against the player. OWL stated that is takes any allegations of such nature seriously and supports victims of abuse. Sinatraa got his own “Alien” skin. Anyone who requests a refund for the skin will be credited 200 League Tokens and the skin will be removed from their collection. Also, the Overwatch League and MVP badges will be removed from the skin in a future update.
