TEC Increases Prize Pool For Upcoming Valorant Series

The Esports Club has announced that they will be bumping up the prize pool for the remaining series in the TEC Valorant Challenger Series after the community received the first two events well. Velocity Gaming won the first two tournaments with three more scheduled to take place up till December. Valorant has been the dominant PC esport title in India and has led to the foundation of a budding ecosystem. With Riot Games' plans to launch servers in India and subsequent focus on the region, its looking likely that Valorant has a bright future in the subcontinent.

The prize pool for the Challenger Series 3,4 and 5 have been increased to INR 200,000 from 150,000. This brings the total prize pool of the tournament to INR 900,000. Additionally the success of the tournament has allowed the organizer to being in a new sponsor in the form of Lenovo. Lenovo will be the third sponsor after LG Ultragear and AMD.

The registrations for the third edition of the Challenger Series is also open and teams can register till October 11 by visiting the Esports Club website. The TEC Valorant Challenger Series has largely shaped up to be the premier Valorant IP in South Asia for the moment and has all the top teams from the region playing in it. The tournament's open system allows teams of all calibres and skill levels to take part and get a feel of the competitive experience.
