Alexis “Zen” Bernier is a Frenchman who is arguably one of the best Rocket League players in the world and plays a major role in Team Vitality. He is considered to be a prodigy and is extremely skilled at the game, proving this by winning his debut season with a World Championship victory in the Rocket League Championship Series (RLCS) 2022-2023. This has achieved numerous things for Team Vitality as well, making it the first organization to win the world championship twice while also earning its name as the highest-earning organization in Rocket League history. Without further ado, here are Zen’s Rocket League settings if you want to try the prodigy’s setup.

Remember that every other advanced video setting is turned off as it adds elements such as Bloom, Depth of Field, Ambient Occlusion, Lens Flare, etc, which can be quite distracting while competing. While Zen still uses a DualShock 4 controller from the PlayStation 4, he says that he uses his current sponsor’s keyboard and mouse combo. He also has his frame rates limited to 280 FPS, as his monitor, the Asus VG279QM caps out at 280HZ refresh rate. He also uses the JBL Quantum ONE headset as his default audio device.
While these settings certainly work out for the Vitality player, you need to remember that most setups are heavily influenced by player preference and are entirely subjective for the most part. While these presets might be a good starting point, make sure you fine-tune your inputs however you feel right.
Following his one-year ban from all Psyonix-operated tournaments, Zen has gone through a tremendous year, adding numerous victories under his belt along with carrying the title of France Esports’ Best Esports Player of the Year 2023 in the sports simulation category.
