When is Minecraft Legends Releasing?

Minecraft Legends is a brand-new game set in the Minecraft universe. Unlike the original game which is an open-world sandbox-style game, Minecraft Legends is an action roleplaying game (ARPG). The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, Steam, Game Pass, Xbox and Microsoft Cloud starting 16th April.

Minecraft Legends Price and Release Date

At launch, Minecraft Legends will be available in two versions: the Standard Edition (i.e. the base game) for $39.99 USD and the Deluxe Edition for $49.99 USD, which includes the base game and the Deluxe Skin pack for a discounted price.

If you purchase the Deluxe skin pack, you will get four mount skins, one hero skin and an additional special mount skin. If you do not purchase the Deluxe skin pack as part of the Deluxe edition, you will always have the option to purchase the Deluxe pack for $14.99 post-release.

The game will be available on 16th April on all platforms. There is no early access for players who pre-order the game. 

What to expect from Minecraft Legends?

Minecraft Legends was first revealed at Gamescom 2022 and it is not a project by Mojang. Blackbird Interactive has taken up development responsibilities for the game and is working with Mojang and Microsoft to release the ARPG

Over the years, Minecraft has been diverging into different genres with Minecraft Dungeons being one of the recent examples of the game being transformed into a Diablo-like looter/dungeon crawler in the spinoff. 

Minecraft Legends features a vivid open world filled with treasures and perils, and the developers have teased that some of our old enemies will become allies in the upcoming game. Players will get to meet new mysterious characters, and strategize with allies through a progression and loot system designed exclusively for Minecraft Legends.
