With Chapter 4 Season 5 of Fortnite, Epic Games has brought the first map from Chapter 1 along with other items from the first season, which has induced a sense of nostalgia for numerous players, as they explore all the iconic locations present in the map.
One such location is Fatal Fields which is essentially a farmland filled with barns, stables, corn fields, and rivers with a white farmhouse situated in the middle. Although it sounds like the perfect place to cause chaos, there seems to be a devious bug or a glitch present there, that makes traversing through Fatal Fields truly fatal. Let’s go ahead and uncover this invisible death trap in Fortnite OG.
Fortnite’s Fatal Fields Contains the Most Deadliest Patch of Grass
While traversing through Fatal Fields, many players run into a seemingly harmless patch of grass that instantly kills them, causing them to lose their game. This seems to occur when players step on a patch of inclined grass right next to a tree located on the east side of Fatal Fields.
As word about this game-breaking bug spread across the Fortnite community, many players also shared their concern saying that they had run into the same bug which can be really frustrating when you are grinding for XP or trying to climb up the leaderboards. Some players were even shocked to see the bug in the game as it apparently existed a long time ago, presumably in the first few chapters while this map was still around.
Although Epic Games has not put out an official statement addressing this issue, we can be sure that the devs are actively working on it and we can soon expect a patch that will fix this game-breaking bug. Understandably, it has caused enormous frustration among players who are unaware of this and sadly fall to their instant demise. The main reason behind this issue seems to be linked with the game’s map barriers not functioning properly.
Unfortunately, this is not the first bug that players have encountered in the OG map, as there are two more glitches located right there in Fatal Fields. Although it breaks after a while, one glitch turns you invisible and will even allow you to levitate above the map with an impulse grenade while the other will let you go under the map as you place a staircase next to a tree. You will have to place platforms below you to bypass the death barrier but you are free to loot and kill enemies which is absurd in a competitive battle royale with millions of players.
