Warzone Cup LTM: Everything You Need to Know

Call of Duty’s new Warzone Cup LTM launches today and it celebrates the launch of new soccer-themed skins featuring Lionel Messi, Neymar Jr., and more. Soccer fever has taken over the world with the FIFA World Cup 2022 taking place right now and if you too want to jump in on the action, you can do so in Call of Duty. This new game mode is similar to Rocket League with a Call of Duty twist. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Warzone Cup limited-time mode (LTM).

How Warzone Cup LTM Works

Each operator drives an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) as they attempt to knock a ball into the other team’s goalpost. Matches last eight minutes and after each goal players are reset to their starting positions. If a team reaches five goals, the match ends immediately and the team in the lead wins. If a team does not reach five goals, the team that is in the lead after the timer runs out wins the game. Matches are fast-paced and it is a nice change of pace from the usual Call of Duty gameplay we all love and enjoy.

Unlike other Call of Duty modes, there are no Loadouts or traditional weaponry in this mode. Instead, each ATV is equipped with a pulse ability that sends a powerful burst of energy toward the ball or other ATVs. Combined with simply ramming objects with the ATV, this energy pulse can help redirect the ball toward fellow squadmates or away from your goal.

Operators also have one of two ways to disrupt their opponents:

  • If an Operator rams into an enemy player at top speed, they destroy that Operator’s ATV, temporarily removing them from the pitch and forcing a respawn.

  • Operators can pick up Shock Sticks around the stadium, which can be thrown at enemy ATVs to temporarily disable their movement.

Despite the game mode looking simple at first glance, it requires solid teamwork if you want to consistently win games in the LTM. You need to work with your teammates to score goals and being a lone wolf will not get you far in most matches.
