Sony PlayStation Showcase: Every New Game Revealed at the Event
Sony presented its latest PlayStation Showcase which featured titles from PlayStation Studios, third-party developers and indie game developers. While high-profile games like Spider-Man 2 and Alan Wake 2 were expected at the event, it was Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater’s remake that caught everyone off guard. Many regard it as the best game in the Metal Gear Solid franchise and fans of the franchise will be eagerly waiting to get their hands on the upcoming remake.

Spider-Man 2
Release Date: 2023
Platforms: PS5
Spider-Man 2 was revealed and it looks like we will get to experience the story from both Peter Parker and Miles Morales’ perspectives. We got a look at Kraven the Hunter, Peter Parker’s Venom suit and more.
Final Fantasy 16
Release Date: 22nd June
Platforms: PS5 (limited-time exclusive)
Final Fantasy 16 is a limited-time exclusive that launches on PS5 next month. It will come to PC at a later date but Square Enix expects a port to take at least a year.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage
Release Date: 12th October
Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC
Assassin’s Creed Mirage is Ubisoft’s attempt at going back to the roots of the Assassin’s Creed franchise. The gameplay shown off is reminiscent of the early years of the franchise with a focus on stealth.
Alan Wake 2
17th October
Platforms: PS5, PC
Remedy Entertainment is finally releasing a sequel to Alan Wake, which is a critically-acclaimed title that released back in 2010.

Haven Studios is working on its very first game after it was acquired by Sony’s PlayStation division last year. The trailer did not show any gameplay and it was more of a teaser for the game.
Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater Remake

The announcement of Snake Eater’s remake took everyone by surprise and it is going to be be one of 2024’s most anticipated titles.
Resident Evil 4 VR
Release Date: 2023
Platforms: PS VR, Steam
Resident Evil 4 VR is a free DLC coming to owners for Resident Evil 4. If the game was not already spooky enough, you can now experience it in VR for a more immersive experience.
Revenant Hill
Release Date: TBA
Platforms: PS5, PS4
Revenant Hill is a game by The Glory Society, the developers of Night in the Woods. We only got a teaser for the game and did not get to see any proper gameplay.
Phantom Blade 0
Release Date: TBA
Platforms: PS5, PC
Phantom Blade 0 looks was a standout reveal at the PlayStation Showcase. The game merges fast-paced melee combat in a Dark Souls-like world with bold enemy designs.
Immortals of Aveum
Release Date: 20th July
Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC
This is a game independently developed by Ascendant Studios under the EA Original program. The game features first-person action with magic and a lot of particle effects that are likely to make your graphics card work overtime.
Marathon
Release Date: TBA
Platforms: PS5 and possibly others
Marathon is a franchise that was created for the Mac in 1994 by Bungie Entertainment, the creators of Halo and Destiny. The developers are giving Marathon a complete makeover and it will release as a PvP extraction shooter similar to Escape From Tarkov and Warzone DMZ.
Concord
Release Date: 2024
Platforms: PS5 and PC
Concord is a new game and the trailer shows a cool-looking burger and zero gameplay.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Release Date: 2024
Platforms: PS5, Xbox, PC
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is a sequel to the critically-acclaimed Dragon’s Dogma that was released back in 2013.
Gran Turismo
Release date: August 2023
Platforms: Your local movie theaters
Gran Turismo is an upcoming movie by Sony that is about a gamer who plays Gran Turismo and then participates in the real-life Gran Turismo. Yes, it sounds bizarre but it looks promising.
Project Q
Release Date: 2023
Project Q is a handheld device that streams gameplay and acts as a portable screen for your PS5. It has a built-in controller that looks very similar to the DualSense controller. The device should launch by 2023’s holiday season.
