Players have now started exploring the world of Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, traversing through different lands and jungles. And they come across many items in their journey. While the goal of the game is to win competitive battles with a strong Pokemon roster, one cannot underestimate the role of certain items. This includes Eviolite, a held item that boosts the user’s defense and special defense by almost 50 percent. However, it can only be used if the Pokemon can still evolve.

Finding Eviolite

This held item was first introduced in Generation V. When you are in possession of this item, it boosts the Defense and Special Defense of a Pokémon. Please note that it only works best when held by a Pokemon that is yet to evolve. There are two ways to find Eviolite and make your Pokemon journey easy. One is by purchasing it directly, which works if you have completed the game.

Eviolite can be bought at the Delibird Presents shop for ₽50,000. This item will be available post-credits, which is when you finish the entire game.

Those who are yet to touch the finish line can obtain Eviolite free of cost, by engaging in Pokemon battles against a number of trainers in the South Province.

Defeat 7 Trainers in South Province (Area Five)

First head to the South Province (Area Five) by going to the far southeast side of Poco Path Lighthouse. You can then go and speak to the Elite Four representative at the Pokemon Center who would ask you to defeat seven Pokemon trainers in South Province (Area 5).

South Province (Area Five)

Once you defeat the seven trainers in South Province (Area 5) who all have Pokemon that range from level 19 to level 23, you can return to the Rep and claim the Eviolite.

Ideally, you should have Pokemon with The Eviolite with high Defense and Special Defense hold the item. Of course, they also must still be able to evolve, so Porygon Z, Chansey, and Dusclops are the ideal candidates for this item.
