Is Warzone 2 Cross Platform?

Warzone 2 launched last year with full cross-platform capabilities that are turned on by default. Regardless of which platform you play on (PlayStation, Xbox or PC), you will be able to play with friends on any platform. You have the option of disabling the feature but we strongly recommend not doing so as it can increase queue times considerably. However, if you do not want to queue up against players using other input methods which can take away from the competitive experience, you can consider turning it off.

Which Platforms in Warzone 2 have Cross Platform Support?

PlayStation, Xbox, and PC (Battle.net/Steam) players have access to Cross Platform. While it is possible to disable Cross Play on PlayStation and Xbox, it is not possible to do so in-game on PC. 

How to enable/disable Warzone 2.0 Cross-Platform Play on PlayStation

If you want to enable/disable cross-play for Warzone 2.0 on PlayStation: 

1. Launch Warzone 2

2. From the main menu head to Options 

3. Press R1 to open the Settings menu

4. Scroll down to the Friends and Network menu 

5. Turn on/off Crossplay 

How to enable/disable Cross Platform Play for Warzone 2.0 on Xbox 

1. Go to General Settings on your Xbox

2. Click Online safety and family

3. Go into Privacy and Online Safety

4. Select Xbox Privacy

5. Go into View Details and Customize 

6. Click Communication and Multiplayer

7. Select Cross-network play 

8. Toggle it on or off

Even though cross-platform is enabled by default on PC and cannot be disabled, you do not run into console lobbies automatically. You match up against console players only if they are playing with their friends on PC. 

Should you leave Cross Play enabled in Warzone 2?

It is strongly recommended to keep crossplay enabled as it reduces queue times. However, there are a lot of cheaters in the game and they are predominantly on PC. If you are a console player and run into a lot of cheaters, you may want to turn it off. Leaving cross platform in Warzone on PC disabled also prevents you from adding friends who play on console. Turning off the setting drastically affects your queue times and it takes longer to find matches as you will be finding matches from a smaller group of players.
