Highlights
You can transfer skins in Overwatch 2 by using the Account Merge feature in-game or via the Battle.net website.
Currently, the feature is bugged and is throwing people into long queues and we recommend waiting until the issue is resolved.
If your skins do not show up despite correctly linking your accounts, you need to reach out to Blizzard's support team.

Overwatch 2 added the ability to transfer all of your items from one account to another via cross-progression. If you jump into Overwatch 2, you will see a new “Account Merge” button in the main menu and it will allow you to link your accounts. The process is fairly simple and you can do it on any platform. Do note that you will get only one opportunity to link your console and PC accounts with each other so you should ensure you connect the right accounts. Here’s a quick guide to help you transfer all your old skins to Overwatch 2.

How to transfer all your old skins to Overwatch 2

Here are the steps you can take to merge your console account to a Battle.net account and transfer your skins to Overwatch 2:

  1. Login to Overwatch from your console account.

  2. Follow the on-screen prompts to scan a QR Code on your mobile phone.

  3. Enter the code displayed on your console to connect to or create your Blizzard Battle.net Account.

  4. Once complete, you will be prompted to confirm your account upon the next game login to merge your accounts.

Once you merge a console account with a battle.net account, you will be unable to link to a different console account on the same platform. Double-check to make sure you are linking the correct account to your battle.net account.

If you have trouble linking the accounts to transfer your skins to Overwatch 2, here’s what you can do:

  1. Log in to your Battle.net Account Management Page to complete registration

  2. Check if your Battle.net account already has a console account linked to it. Each Battle.net account may only have one PSN, one Xbox Live, and one Nintendo Switch account linked to it

  3. Check if your console account is already linked to a different Battle.net account. The same console account cannot be linked to multiple Battle.net accounts

  4. Un-link the wrong accounts

Link the correct accounts via the Connections page.

Account links have cooldowns limiting how often they can be changed. You will receive a warning in Battle.net account management specifying the specific cooldown length when disconnecting an account type that has a cooldown.
