Mojang just announced that an early access version of Minecraft: Bedrock Edition is releasing on Chromebook, featuring cross-device play with friends, access to Minecraft Marketplace, and the ability to play on Realms. The game is not purchasable for all Chromebook owners but we can expect a global release very soon. If you want to download Minecraft on your Chromebook, here’s what you need to do.
Download Minecraft on Chromebook
Only selected Chromebook devices that meet the minimum requirements will be able to purchase and download Minecraft on the platform. To check if you are eligible, head to the Google Play Store on your Chromebook to see if Minecraft is available for you.
Here are the system requirements for the Chromebook version of Minecraft:
Operating System: ChromeOS 111
System Architecture: 64-bit (x86_64, arm64-v8a)
Processor: Intel Celeron N4500, Intel i3-7130U, Mediatek MT8183, Qualcomm SC7180 or better
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Storage: Minimum of 1 GB game installation, maps, and other files
The system requirements are subject to change in the future as Mojang will be working on making the game accessible on more Chromebooks. You can consider waiting until the early access period ends before upgrading as your current hardware may be compatible with the game in the future.

Chromebook + Android bundle: $19.99 USD
This version includes both the Chromebook and Android version of Minecraft.
Android: $6.99 USD
This version includes the Android version of Minecraft.
Upgrade price: $13.00 USD
If you already have the Android version of the game and want to upgrade to the Chromebook version, the price will be $13.00 USD.
Do note that will have to create a new world when playing Minecraft for Chromebook so there is no cross-progression available at the moment.
An official release date for the Chromebook version of the game is not available at the moment so you may need to wait a while if your Chromebook is not compatible with Minecraft at the moment.
