Players can purchase gift cards online via the online Minecraft store or partnered retailers like Amazon, Target and Best Buy.
How to Redeem Minecraft Gift Cards via Windows Store
NOTE: This method works on Windows Store only.
To redeem a pre-paid card or gift code, you can head to the official Windows Store page on any device.
Make sure you are signed in to your Microsoft account on your browser.
Head to: https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help/subscriptions-billing/redeem-codes-gifting/redeem-prepaid-codes
Enter your 25-digit code and click on Redeem
Before you redeem your code, make sure that you’re signed in to the correct Microsoft account on your device or browser. Codes that are redeemed on the wrong account can not be transferred to another Microsoft account by Xbox Support.
How to Redeem Minecraft Gift Cards for Bedrock and Java Edition
NOTE: This method works for both editions of Minecraft.
Navigate to Minecraft Redeem Pre-Paid Tokens.
Log in to an existing Microsoft account or create a new one.
After you have logged in to your Microsoft account, you can redeem your pre-paid card or gift code.

How to redeem Minecoins
Prepaid gift cards are also available for in-game currency called Minecoins, for use in the Bedrock versions of Minecraft which feature a Marketplace. These prepaid cards are for in-game currency only and cannot be used to purchase a copy of Minecraft.
Enter your payment card number and PIN.
Enter and validate your email address/Xbox Live Account.
Check the box confirming you’ve read the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Click REDEEM CARD.
You will receive an email with a final redemption code and instructions on where to redeem that code. Once you have redeemed your Minecoins, they will be linked to your Xbox Live account so that you can access your coins and purchases from all your supported devices that run Minecraft.
