Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has over a dozen game modes and it can be difficult to queue into the modes you want to play due to the overcomplicated user interface (UI). The UI which was heavily criticized at launch is being worked on but until then, we have to deal with it to get to play our favorite game modes. Team Deathmatch is one of the game modes available in Modern Warfare 2 and here is how you can guarantee that you always queue into the game mode.
How to queue Team Deathmatch in Modern Warfare 2
Modern Warfare 2 has a game mode filter system that you can use to select the modes you want to play. If you have multiple options selected, the matchmaker will choose one of the modes randomly. Here is how you can queue into Team Deathmatch every single time:
Launch Modern Warfare 2
Hover over the Quick Play option in the Play tab
Click on the Filter button in the Quick Play option
All modes will now be visible and you can select or deselect any mode that you want to
Leave Team Deathmatch selected and deselect all other game modes
Go back to the main menu and click on Play in the Quick Play option
You will now queue only into Team Deathmatch until you change the game filters
Team Deathmatch in Modern Warfare 2 is a 6v6 game mode where the goal is to get as many kills as possible. The team with more kills wins the game. If you want to play other game modes as well, make sure that you follow the same steps and change the Quick Play filters to choose other modes that you want to experience.
Here are all of the options available at the moment to Modern Warfare 2 players:
Team Deathmatch
Free-For-All
Domination
Search And Destroy
Headquarters
Kill Confirmed
Hardpoint
Prisoner Rescue
Knock Out
Control
Invasion
Ground War
Warzone Battle Royale and the DMZ modes are also available as part of Warzone 2.0 and you can play them even if you do not own Modern Warfare 2.
