The Torchflower is a new type of flower that was added as part of the Minecraft 23W07A Snapshot as an experimental feature, and it will be permanently added to the game as part of the 1.20 update later this year. The new flower can be used to craft a host of new items and is worth farming. Here is a rundown of everything you need to know about the Torchflower and how to get them in Minecraft 1.20 once it is available.
What is a Torchflower in Minecraft
The Torchflower is a new type of flower that will be added to Minecraft in update 1.20. You can place Torchflower seeds on farmlands and they will grow into full-sized flowers. Torchflower seeds can be placed on farmland after you obtain them and they go through the three stages of growth. In the final growth stage, you get one Torchflower but the crops can easily break if they are pushed by a piston, if the farmland breaks, or turns into dirt.
The most important use case of Torchflowers is breeding Sniffers. The new 1.20 update will introduce sniffers as the newest mob type and you can use Torchflowers to reduce the remaining growth time of snifflets by 10%.
How to Get Torchflower in Minecraft
You will be able to get Torchflowers only when the 1.20 update arrives on Minecraft. You can currently get Torchflowers only if you have a beta version of the upcoming update or have experimental features turned on.
The Torchflowers can be obtained by Sniffers who can locate all kinds of resources. You will need to locate a Sniffer by hatching it and then let it dig up a Torchflower seed for you. Once you have access to a seed, all you need to do is plant a Torchflower seed near some water and wait for it to go through all the three stages of growth.
Sniffers can also dig up other types of resources so make sure you get your hands on a couple of Sniffers and breed more of them to find all of the new resources that will be added to the game as part of the 1.20 update.
