How to Fix Warzone 2.0 Error Code 657

Warzone 2.0 has been facing tons of issues since its release ranging from connectivity issues to players not being able to team up with others. Error code 657 is a new error that is popping up and the only consistent way to solve the issue is by repairing the game files or restoring licenses. The issue can occur on PlayStation, Xbox, Steam (PC) and Battle.net (PC) and we have solutions listed below for all four platforms.

How to Fix Warzone 2.0’s Error Code 657

Here is how you can fix Warzone 2.0’s error code 657 on any platform.

Steam

1. Restart your computer and launch Steam

2. Next, you can either right-click the game in your Library or click the gear icon from the game's Library page on the far right

3. From the drop-down menu, select Properties...

4. Select the Local Files tab and click the “Verify integrity of game files” button

5. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes

Battle.net

1. Open the Battle.net desktop app

2. Click on the Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 icon in the Games menu

3. Click the cog wheel next to the Play button and choose the Scan and Repair option

PlayStation

1. Go to Settings > Users and Accounts > Other > Restore Licenses. 

2.  Select Restore and wait until the operation has been completed, then try accessing Warzone 2.0 again.

Xbox

1. Go to the Xbox App (Store)

2. Locate the game from the menu on the left

3. Hover over Warzone 2.0 and click on the three vertical dots

4. Click on Manage > Files > Verify and Repair

5. Wait for the process to complete and launch Warzone 2.0
