Before trying any solutions you should check if the game’s servers are live. Here is how you can resolve Warzone 2.0’s Error Code 2012.

How to Fix Error Code 2012 in Warzone 2.0

First, you should head to https://support.activision.com/onlineservices and check if Warzone 2.0 is live. If the servers are down, simply check the website later and you will know when you can play again. If the servers are up and you are still facing the issue, here’s what you need to do. 

  1. Exit Warzone 2.0

  2. Exit Steam or Battle.net (whichever is applicable)

  3. Right-click on your Taskbar.

  4. Click on Task Manager.

  5. Exit Battle.net or Steam services 

  6. Launch the game

You can also try flushing your DNS to fix error code 2012 in Warzone 2.0: 

  1. Press the Windows Key

  2. Type “Command Prompt” and hover on the first app result 

  3. Click on Run As Administrator

  4. If asked whether to allow Command Prompt to make changes to your computer, select Yes.

  5. You should now get a new window with a black screen.

  6. Type "ipconfig /flushdns" and press Enter.

  7. Type "ipconfig /registerdns" and press Enter.

  8. Type "ipconfig /release" and press Enter.

  9. Type "ipconfig /renew" and press Enter.

  10. Type "netsh winsock reset" and press Enter.

  11. Restart your computer.

Network issues might cause the 2012 error in Warzone 2.0. You should consider changing your DNS on your computer or on your router to see if it helps. Login to your router and head to the setup page. Leave all existing settings intact and change your primary and secondary DNS to any of the following:

  • 1.1.1.1

  • 1.0.0.1

There is also an app you can install by Cloudflare that can toggle OpenDNS on or off. Head to https://one.one.one.one/ and download the app for Windows.
