Overwatch 2's beta invites are going out right now but a lot of players are unable to access the game.
Blizzard confirmed that some players may be able to access the beta even if they do not receive an email confirmation.
Restarting the Battle.net client will allow eligible players to get access to the game.

Overwatch 2’s beta invites are rolling out and a lot of players are unable to play the game. The beta is allowing players to dive into the new 5v5 player-versus-player (PvP) combat ahead of its launch. But a number of players who received beta access are unable to connect to the game.

Overwatch 2 beta invite not working - How to fix

Players are getting access to the beta randomly if they had signed up for it when the registration window was open. Blizzard has sent out emails to notify players if they were been selected for the beta but not everyone is able to access it. If you are facing issues as well, here’s how you can fix it:

  • Launch Task Manager

  • Close all Battle.net and Blizzard services

  • Launch Battle.Net

  • Click on Overwatch

  • In the dropdown menu on the bottom left, locate the Overwatch 2 Tech beta option.

  • Click on Install

  • If you received an invite and were unable to access the beta, the issue should now be resolved.

If after watching a partnered content creator on Twitch for four hours you have still not received a beta invite yet, you may need to wait a little longer. Blizzard revealed in the official forums that email invites will go out in waves and will take several hours to complete the entire initial list of people selected to play.

Remember to check both your spam and promotion folders on your email client. The email will come from a “@blizzard.com” email address. Even if you do not get the email, your Battle.Net app launcher will update with the beta client in the game version list if you are selected. So try restarting the app launcher on occasion and check there.
