FIFA 23’s PC launch was affected by various issues like anti-cheat errors, crashes and infinite loading screens. While EA has addressed most of these issues, some players still find themselves stuck on FIFA 23’s loading screen. If you are unable to access the game, here is a quick guide to fix FIFA 23 if you are stuck on the loading screen

FIFA 23: Stuck on loading screen fixes

The first thing you should do is check if you meet the system requirements. Here are the minimum system requirements that you need to have to run the game: 

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10

  • Processor (AMD): Ryzen 5 1600 or Equivalent

  • Processor (Intel): Core i5 6600k or Equivalent

  • Memory: 8 GB

  • Graphics card (AMD): Radeon RX 570 or Equivalent

  • Graphics card (NVIDIA): GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Equivalent

  • DirectX: 12 Compatible video card or equivalent

  • Online Connection Requirements: 512 KBPS or faster Internet connection

  • Hard-drive space: 100 GB

Repair Game Files

  1. Open Steam or Origin, depending on which launcher, your game is located in.

  2. Find FIFA 23 in your Library.

  3. On Steam: Right Click on FIFA 23 > Click on Properties > head to Local Files > Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files

  4. On Origin: Find the Gear icon next to the play button when clicking on FIFA 23 in your Library and click on it. Click on the Repair button in the next popup.

In most cases this should resolve the issue if FIFA 23 is stuck on the loading screen.

Upgrade Graphics Drivers

If FIFA 23 is still stuck on the loading screen, consider updating your drivers: 

AMD Graphics Cards

  1. Visit the AMD Driver and Support page: https://www.amd.com/en/support 

  2. Click the DOWNLOAD NOW button to begin downloading the AMD Driver Auto-detect tool.

  3. Once the download is complete, run the file from the save location.

  4. When prompted, click Install to begin the setup process.

  5. Click Next until the update completes for your graphics driver. 

NVIDIA Graphics Cards

  1. Search for NVIDIA GeForce Experience in the Start menu.

  2. Click on the first result.

  3. Click on Drivers.

  4. Click on Check for Updates or Update.

  5. Wait for the download to complete and click on Install.

  6. Click on Next until the installation is complete.

Update Windows

  1. On your keyboard, press the Windows logo key and type check. Then click Check for updates.

  2. Click Check for updates.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions so that Windows Update will automatically download & install the latest DirectX for you (included in the updates).
