If you are a Call of Duty fan and are looking forward to COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard, here is a compilation of everything we know so far. While Activision has not released too much information just yet, there are plenty of leaks floating around that highlight some of the content that may be coming to COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard. The World War Two setting can be divisive with a part of the playerbase loving the theme while others prefer the Call of Duty games in modern settings. Here is a breakdown of all the leaks and information that we have so far.

COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard Overview

It has been confirmed that COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard is being developed by Sledgehammer Games. The more recent COD instalments were developed by Treyarch, Infinity Ward and Raven Software while Sledgehammer Games has been out of the news for a while. After months of speculation that the studio is working on the upcoming title, it was confirmed by COO of Activision-Blizzard Daniel Alegre that the next COD game is being developed by Sledgehammer.

The project is dubbed ‘Vanguard’ but the official working title is not known yet. Alegre revealed in an official announcement that the upcoming game is “built for next generation experience with stunning visuals across campaign, multiplayer and co-operative modes of play, designed to both integrate with and enhance the existing COD ecosystem. We look forward to sharing more details with the community soon.”

When will COD 2021: WW2 be announced

According to Zesty, who is one of the most popular leakers in the Call of Duty community, COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard might be scheduled for an announcement through Warzone. It would not be the first time that Activision announced a game through the popular battle royale. Black Ops: Cold War was announced through Warzone via an event and rumors suggest that a Season 4 event in Warzone will introduce COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard to the fans.

COD 2021: WW2 Content details

Here are some of the points of interest that were leaked recently. They are meant to be added to Warzone as part of the upcoming Call of Duty title. Activision has made Warzone a permanent part of Call of Duty that evolves years with each new game in the franchise. After the success of the popular battle royale, Activision is cashing in on Warzone’s popularity and the battle royale mode will also be a part of COD 2021: WW2 Vanguard according to leaks. Here are the POIs that were revealed in the update.

The Warzone POIs from the upcoming game include:

  • Arsenal

  • Airstrip

  • Airfield

  • Beach Head

  • Caldera

  • Capital

  • Docks

  • Farms

  • Lagoon

  • Mines

There are some leaks surrounding game modes with a leaker talking about how the upcoming game will feature eight multiplayer maps and several game modes.

COD 2021: WW2 Release Date

Every Call of Duty game except Black Ops 4 has released in November and it is unlikely that Activision will stray from its tried and tested formula. It is when a lot of triple-A titles release in the gaming industry as it is the perfect time for players to pick up games right ahead of the holiday season.

There is no confirmed release and a lot of the information available currently is based on speculation. Leaked gameplay elements are subject to change and the leaks might not represent the final release version of the upcoming game.
