There is a bug in Apex Legends that prevents players from queuing into any of the game modes and forces them to complete orientation matches. The error is quite uncommon but on 19th December, a large number of Apex Legends players ran into the issue and were unable to play the game. While Private Matches continued to function, a lot of players were unable to play Duos, Trios, Limited Time Modes (LTMs) or Ranked. If you are still facing the issue, here are some fixes that you can try to fix the Apex Legends Orientation Matches glitch.

Fix Apex Legends’ Orientation Matches Glitch

Here’s what you should do if you run into the issue in Apex Legends.

Solution 1: Check For Server Issues

The number one reason for the Orientation Matches Glitch is due to server issues. Whenever new content updates release, the issue becomes commonplace. Here is how you can check if the servers are online.

  1. Head to: https://twitter.com/EAHelp

  2. Head to: https://downdetector.in/status/apex-legends/

  3. If there are any reported server or connectivity issues, you simply need to wait until the issues are resolved.

Solution 2: Try Repeated Logins

Sometimes, the servers are full and all you need to do is keep trying to log in and you may be able to get into the game. The servers can be full right after maintenance or during major content updates.

  1. Wait for the Apex Legends Orientation Matches Glitch

  2. Leave the game open for a few minutes

  3. Retry queuing into a different server

  4. If it doesn’t work, try logging into a different server

Solution 3: Repair Game Files

  1. Open Steam or Origin, depending on which launcher your game is located in.

  2. Find Apex Legends in your Library

  3. On Steam: Right Click on Apex Legends > Click on Properties > Head to Local Files > Click on Verify Integrity of Game Files

  4. On Origin: Find the Gear icon next to the play button when clicking on Apex Legends in your Library and click on it. Click on the Repair button in the next popup.

The game files will now be automatically verified and any corrupt files will be removed. If the issue still persists, reach out to EA Help for further assistance.
