TSM’s carry player Enzo "Timado" Gianoli was recently pulled aside for a quick interview following the team’s victory in Division I of the North American Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2023 (DPC 2023): Winter Tour against Thiuth Gaming. In the interview, Timado explained that he is looking forward to facing his old teammate Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek’s and his new team Shopify Rebellion. He also talked about what TSM’s head coach David "MoonMeander" Tan brings to the table.
Timado had nothing but respect and praises for his current head coach
During the winner’s post match interview, TSM’s Timado was asked by Clinton "Fear" Loomis about his feelings in regards to SabeRLight- 's departure to Shopify Rebellion.
While Timado noted with a smile that there was no love lost between the two following the latter’s departure, he jokingly called out SabeRLight- by saying that he will be looking forward to facing each other as rivals.“That kid [SabeRLight-]? He has to watch his back, man. [laughs] I have his number, I know his strategies. I’m going to lane against him and I’m going to beat him in the game. I’ll be going all out as if it’s a TI Grand Final when we play Shopify Rebellion,” he said.
He then went on to talk about the team’s head coach, David "MoonMeander" Tan’s impact within the new roster. While Timado had previously played with MoonMeander for the past two years, he noted that he had nothing but praises for his former captain turned coach.
Personally, I respect Moon a lot. Moon always had this phrase at every tournament that we have played at, where he said that “If I’m playing like the best player on the team, something is wrong. Like I’m not the best player in the team but if I’m playing like the best within the team, that means you guys are underperforming. And I felt like what he said was the truth, because I can tell that his mechanical skills are limited but in my opinion he is the best player in the team due to his leadership and drafting skills.”Timado
Timado then ended the interview by saying MoonMeander could possibly be on par with PSG.LGD’s coach, Zhang "xiao8" Ning in the foreseeable future as he believes that MoonMeander can lead TSM into a new successful era under his guidance.
TSM’s next scheduled opponents will be nouns on January 16th. This could prove to be TSM’s first real challenge this DPC season with nouns boasting notable players like Nicolas "Gunnar" Lopez and David "Moo" Hull in its lineup.
