Entity is parting ways with its carry Remco "Crystallis" Arets ahead of the Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2021/22 Tour 3. Crystallis is moving to Team Secret who has signed the player following the departure of Syed Sumail "SumaiL" Hassan from its roster. This transfer marks Entity’s first roster change following its inception in Europe at the beginning of the 2021/22 DPC season.
Crystallis parts ways with Entity after a successful stint
Crystallis had a fairly successful stint with Entity Gaming, winning the first tour of the Lower Division of the of Western European DPC 2021/22 with a 6-1 win-loss record, securing promotion to the Upper Division. Under the Entity banner, the player hit 12K MMR, and became the number 1 ranked player in the European leaderboards.
"I've really enjoyed the time I spent with the guys from entity and I'd like to thank them for the experience," said Crystallis speaking about his departure. "I had so much fun, had my first bootcamp ever, and feel like I grew a lot not just as a player but also as a person. I'd also like to give a shoutout to the Entity organization for making all of this possible in the first place. I wouldn't be where I am now without them. I hope I'll be meeting all of you again at TI."
Entity's manager Noah Eigenheer also commented on Crystallis' departure by wishing him all the best on his new chapter. "A new chapter opens up the prosperity of new beginnings. Remco is the kind of player that the future of dota 2 needs. Driven by passion, with insatiable hunger to prove oneself. He is part of a new Generation of players who will shake the world of Dota and we wish him all the best towards achieving his dreams," he said.
"We look forward to dropping mantles from both sides! 🤡," he added.
Following Crystallis’ departure, the Entity roster is down to four players:
Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau
Tobias "Tobi" Buchner
Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov
Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk
Before this roster change, Entity was projected to have a 30.84% chance to qualify for The International 2022 (TI11) according to Dota 2 statistician Ben "Noxville" Steenhuisen’s Monte Carlo Simulations. If Entity qualifies for TI11, this will be the organization’s first ever appearance at The International Dota 2 Championships.
Team Secret signs Crystallis
Team Secret made waves when it revealed its all-star lineup featuring some of the biggest Dota 2 stars in the world, heading into 2021/22 Dota Pro Circuit. Unfortunately, the team has underperformed over the last two tours forcing the organization to make a few changes as we hit the road to The International 2022.
Team Secret parted ways with SumaiL earlier this week, with captain Puppey stating “when things don’t work out, it’s best to just move on. Change is a reliable pursuit towards progress. No hard feelings.”
To replace SumaiL, Team Secret has turned towards Crystallis who will be competing for the team as its new carry player heading into Tour 3.
Following this signing, Team Secret’s new lineup will be:
Remco "Crystallis" Arets
Michał "Nisha" Jankowski
Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang
Yazied "YapzOr" Jaradat
Clement "Puppey" Ivanov
Lee "Heen" Seung Gon (Coach)
