Team Secret, a well-known team from Western Europe (WEU) has an early exit from the Riyadh Masters 2023 Playoffs.
The team lost its first lower-bracket series against 9Pandas in a swift 2-0, leading to their elimination from the tournament.
Moving forward, the challenges of The International 12 (TI12) open qualifiers will be next, where the team faces stiff competition such as OG, Nigma Galaxy, Quest Esport, among others.

Team Secret's journey at the Riyadh Masters 2023 has come to an end as the squad was eliminated from the tournament by 9Pandas in a 2-0 defeat. The Western European (WEU) team struggled throughout the event, facing challenges in both the Play-Ins and Group Stages. Despite their resilience to make it to the playoffs, Team Secret couldn't secure a win in the lower bracket, leading to the squad’s eventual elimination from the tournament.

A Rocky Run at Riyadh Masters 2023

Entering the tournament as an underdog, Team Secret faced an uphill battle from the start. Their struggles in the Play-Ins were all but expected, as there were some significantly strong teams at the Play-Ins, however, the team managed to secure a spot in the group stages through a hard-fought decider match.

In the group stages, the team did show some resilience, but it wasn't enough to break into the Top 4 of the groups, finishing in 5th place. This led to the team beginning their Playoffs journey in the lower bracket for the playoffs.

Shifting Focus to The International 12 Open Qualifiers

With their journey at Riyadh Masters 2023 coming to an end, Team Secret must now shift their focus to the upcoming challenge of The International 12 open qualifiers. The open qualifiers feature teams like OG, Nigma Galaxy, and Quest Esports, among others, vying for a slot to compete in The International 2023.

For Team Secret, the open qualifiers represent a new opportunity to showcase their strength and redeem themselves after a relatively disappointing 2023 DPC season. Despite their setback at Riyadh Masters, the team must regroup, and focus on improving its strategies before the qualifiers begin.

Team Secret's departure from the Riyadh Masters 2023 may have been disappointing for the team, especially considering a lackluster 2023 competitive season, however, with the biggest tournament of the year coming up, the team must remain focused. As they prepare to take on the challenges of TI12 open qualifiers, the team must be ready to take on the competition that comes with the WEU region.
