Team Secret’s transfer business in the roster shuffle season has finally concluded, as the organization signed Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan as its newest mid-laner. Team Secret recently placed second at The International 2022 (TI11) despite its lackluster performance during the 2021/2022 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season.
However, despite having its highest placement ever at The International, Team Secret had to undergo roster changes as it had mutually agreed to part ways with its illustrious mid laner, Michał "Nisha" Jankowski after 4 years of being with the team.
BOOM completes Team Secret’s lineup for 2023
“Welcome to the squad, BOOM.” Team Secret wrote in its announcement post on Twitter, welcoming its newest addition to the Dota 2 roster.
Team captain Clement "Puppey" Ivanov also gave his opinion on the newest recruit to the team saying that BOOM would be a great fit to the team.
Team Secret’s roster for the 2022/2023 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season has been confirmed as follows:
Remco "Crystallis" Arets
Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan
Roman "Resolut1on" Fomynok
Baqyt "Zayac" Emiljanov
Clement "Puppey" Ivanov
Coach: Lee "Heen" Seung Gon
Team Secret had a lackluster performance throughout the 2021/2022 DPC season as the team constantly finished 5th in the regional league. However despite its underwhelming regional performances, the team performed above expectations following multiple roster changes as it claimed multiple top three finishes at Riyadh Masters 2022 & ESL One Malaysia 2022.
Despite the team being unable to claim a direct invitation to TI11 through the regional qualifiers, Team Secret shocked the community at large as the team went from Last Chance Qualifiers contenders to second place finishers at TI11. Following the conclusion of the competitive season, Team Secret announced that it will retain its roster for the upcoming season. However, Nisha will not be a part of its roster as he departs from the team after a 4 year-stint with the team.
BOOM recently spent the 2021/2022 DPC season with Gaimin Gladiators, as the team placed fourth at the Stockholm Major. However, following its mediocre 9th-12th place finish at TI11 BOOM parted ways with the team in pursuit of greener pastures.
With BOOM as the final piece to the puzzle, Team Secret has officially concluded its transfer business in the off-season. However, BOOM will have big shoes to fill in place of the team’s former mid-laner as Nisha left the team with multiple Major championships to his name.
