Talon Esports Secures Upper Bracket Slot at Riyadh Masters 2023 Playoffs

Talon Esports, considered to be the strongest team from Southeast Asia (SEA), has been making waves at the Riyadh Masters 2023 Group Stages. Beginning with an impressive Day 1 performance, the team has kept up the momentum and secured an upper bracket slot at the playoffs at the end of Day 3 of the group stages. 

Currently standing with an outstanding score of 8-4, Talon Esports is second only to BetBoom, who leads Group B with a score of 10-2 and has secured a Top 4 finish with their score.

Talon Esports' Dominant Group Stage Performance

In the group stages, Talon Esports initially started off strong as well, with a strong performance on Day 1, and continued this till the end of Day 3, achieving several 2-0 victories against formidable opponents like Shopify Rebellion, TSM, and Team Secret. The team's only decisive loss was against the leaders of Group B, BetBoom.

However, their overall performance has been nothing short of impressive, securing them a crucial spot in the upper bracket of the playoffs.

Looking Ahead to the Playoffs

The Riyadh Masters 2023 Playoffs are set to begin on the 25th of July, one day after the conclusion of the Group Stages. Talon Esports has a lot to prove after narrowly missing qualification for The Bali Major 2023 and coming close to winning DreamLeague Season 20, where they secured an impressive 4th place finish.

As the Group Stages approach its conclusion, Talon Esports faces one final series against the team considered to be in the Top 2 globally, Team Liquid. This match will serve as a crucial test of their abilities as they prepare to enter the playoffs. 

As the sole representative of the SEA region at the Riyadh Masters 2023, Talon Esports has carried the hopes of the region’s fans on their shoulders. With Execration's elimination in the Play-Ins, the responsibility to showcase the region's talent fell solely on Talon Esports. 

As Talon Esports looks towards finishing its Group Stage run and prepares to enter the Riyadh Masters 2023 Playoffs in the upper bracket, the team must remain focused in order to go much further in the tournament.
