Talon Esports vs Entity: Match recap

Talon Esports managed to defeat Entity earlier today in the group stage with a 2-0 victory. However, its loss to Team Secret meant that Talon would have to face Entity again in a rematch.

Talon had already beaten Entity once but despite its valiant efforts it fell to Entity and got eliminated.

Game One

Talon started off the game by drafting Pudge for Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon and Shadow Fiend for Rafli "Mikoto" Rahman while Entity picked its comfort heroes in Morphling and Lycan for Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko and Tobias "Tobi" Buchner respectively.

The laning phase went in favor of Talon, as it managed to control the tempo in the early phases of the game. However, going into the mid-game Entity had full control of the map as Pure’s Morphling went on a killing spree along with Entity’s pushing potential with Tobi’s Lycan and Daniel "Stormstormer" Schoetzau’s Leshrac.

Game One ended after 50 minutes, as Entity claimed the first game of the tiebreaker with Pure’s Morphling having 19 kills and 13 assists.

Game Two

With elimination now on the line, Talon was looking to play it safe as it picked 23savage’s signature Terrorblade while Entity was looking to close the series as the team picked its own signature heroes in Pudge and Sven for Pure and Vladislav "Kataomi`" Semenov.

The laning phase once again went in favor of Talon, as Talon’s core heroes managed to farm for their items. However, Entity once again managed to dominate the late game as Pure’s Pudge was constantly hitting his Meat Hooks onto Talon’s heroes. Despite attempts from Talon to defend its base, its efforts were in vain as its heroes slowly bled out to Entity. Game Two ended after 44 minutes as the Western European team defeated Talon in the tiebreaker.

Following the victory, Talon Esports will be the last team to be eliminated in the group stage alongside TSM, BetBoom Team, and Soniqs. Entity on the other hand, will claim the final Main Event playoff spot in Group B and will be going up against RNG in the Lower Bracket.
