Soniqs’s contract with the former Quincy Crew roster has ended as the organization announced that it released its Dota 2 roster after TI11.
Quincy Crew/Soniqs manager, Jack “KBBQ” Chen has announced that he’s looking for a new mid laner & position four support for the upcoming season.
With KBBQ’s announcement, it’s more likely that the roster will return to its “Quincy Crew” name while also undergoing a full rebuild.

Following its participation in The International 2022 (TI11), Soniqs has announced that it released its Dota 2 roster earlier today (2nd Nov). The former Quincy Crew stack was signed by the North American (NA) organization prior to the Arlington Major, and was signed until the conclusion of TI11. While the team did manage to qualify for TI11 via the Regional Qualifier, it saw a horrendous result as it was eliminated in the group stage in a tiebreaker for the last playoff spot.

While the roster will probably go back to its “Quincy Crew” name, it seems that the roster will be rebuilt as its manager Jack “KBBQ” Chen revealed that he’s looking for new players to fill in several positions within the team.

Quincy Crew to make a return, but not with its current roster

Quincy Crew was picked up by North American organization Soniqs, prior to the Arlington Major, as the team seemed decent despite the NA scene being dominated by TSM and Evil Geniuses. However, following abysmal performances during the Major and TI11 the organization announced on Twitter that it released its entire Dota 2 roster earlier today (2nd Nov).

Following the announcement, many fans expect the team to return to its former name of Quincy Crew for the upcoming Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season. However, it seems that the roster will not include either Quinn "Quinn" Callahan or Arif "MSS" Anwar as the team manager, Jack “KBBQ” Chen, announced on Twitter that he will be looking for a new mid laner, as well as a position four support player for the roster. He also further added that some of the players might take a break from the competitive scene.

Surprisingly, KBBQ did not announce that he is looking for an offlaner, as Rodrigo "LESLÃO" Santos was released by Soniqs due to a racial slur on his effigy statue in-game. After being released by Soniqs many expected him to rejoin the Quincy Crew stack for the upcoming season, but it seems that the Brazilian offlaner will be looking for other opportunities.

As of now, it seems that the roster will be looking to rebuild around Yawar "YawaR" Hassan and Adrian "Fata" Trinks.
