SabeRLight- Shares Hilarious Story of How He Joined Entity at the Arlington Major
With the Western Europe (WEU) Regional Qualifiers on the horizon, many Dota 2 personalities are starting to give their top three predictions for the upcoming qualifiers. One of these personalities is TSM’s offlaner, Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek who was recently invited as a guest on OG’s Monkey Business podcast. On the newest episode of the podcast, SabeRLight- recalled his journey with Entity during the PGL Arlington Major and spoke about his activities after the third tour of the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season to getting a last minute invite as a stand-in for Entity.
SabeRLight- also revealed that his encounter with Entity’s Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk during a pub game was the main reason he got invited to play for Entity as a stand-in.
SabeRLight- was jealous at first when he did not get a request to stand-in for any team.
During his appearance on OG’s Monkey Business Podcast Episode 37, SabeRLight- and OG CEO JMR Luna discussed a lot of things. JMR Luna asked SabeRLight- about his journey with Entity during the PGL Arlington Major in August. SabeRLight- explained at first that he did not receive a request to stand in for any teams that were facing visa issues. At the time both him and David "MoonMeander" Tan were just hanging out while the rest of TSM were being approached to stand-in for teams like Fnatic and Entity.
“Yeah, so it was really funny. We [TSM] were at the Riyadh Masters 2022, it was like right before the Major and like during the end of the tournament, suddenly people are getting invited to the Major [as a stand-in] because a lot of people did not have visas. So I think it was DuBu, Timado, and Bryle who got invited to some teams, while me and Moon were jealous. Moon was like “Ok, it’s fine. I’ll just go chill” while I was waiting for my invite to a team, hoping maybe there’s an offlaner who didn't have a visa for the Major but nothing happened.”

SabeRLight- then revealed the backstory of how he got invited to play with Entity as a replacement for Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko, who was also struck with visa issues at the time. He noted that he was playing a pub match and encountered Entity’s Fishman in the match, and that was when he jokingly asked him to kick Tobias "Tobi" Buchner so that he could play as a stand-in for the Major.
“I came home and was playing pubs, and then queued into Fishman. We started to talk in the pub game and he was like “SaberChad, poggers!”. I then replied by saying “Yo,Fishman! Kick Tobi, bring me to Major instead. I really want to go!”. He then responded by saying “Noted, Mr.SaberChad.” Because at the time, Timado was supposed to be standing in for Pure, but then he also got an offer to play for Fnatic and wanted to play alongside DuBu and Bryle. Which then leaves Entity without a carry player. But because of the joke conversation during the pub game, Fishman instantly texted me two hours before the final deadline and asked me if I wanted to play with them [Entity], I said “Ok, let’s go!”
SabeRLight- ended up finishing top six at the PGL Arlington Major, alongside Entity where they lost to Team Aster. SabeRLight- and Entity were soon reunited at ESL One Malaysia 2022, where fans were treated to both SabeRLight- and Fishman trash talking on stage.
