The Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) North America (NA) 2023 Tour 3: Division I has kicked off with an exhilarating start, featuring highly anticipated matches between B8 vs Nouns and Shopify Rebellion vs TSM. Both Shopify Rebellion and TSM have established themselves as dominant forces in the NA DPC scene, consistently finishing in the top two spots in Tour 1 and Tour 2. However, in the previous DPC NA 2023 Tour 1 and Tour 2, TSM managed to come out on top against Shopify Rebellion. In Tour 3, the stage is set for Shopify Rebellion to overcome its long-time rival and reclaim its dominance. In a thrilling turn of events, Shopify Rebellion showcased its prowess in the opening game of the DPC NA Tour 3: Division I against TSM, securing an impressive 2-0 victory. Following its victory, the team's talented offlaner, Jonáš "SabeRLight-" Volek, shared his thoughts on their rivals, TSM, in a post-match interview.

SaberLight's Playful Jabs At TSM

In the post-match interview, SaberLight, the talented offlaner of Shopify Rebellion, couldn't hide his delight after their resounding 2-0 victory over TSM in the DPC NA Tour 3 opener. When asked about facing TSM and its qualification for the Bali Major, SaberLight playfully expressed his love for defeating TSM and his confidence in Shopify Rebellion's chances of making it to the major event.

“What the frick is up guys, it's your boy Saber. Im feeling amazing and I love destroying TSM. If they didn't qualify for the Major (Bali Major) I would actually feel very sad because this was just demoralizing, beating them twice in 20 minutes, and I felt sad for them. But I’m sure they’ll make it (to the Bali Major) so you know, it’s all fun and games, I believe in TSM,” SabeRLight- said.

When asked what changed from Tours 1 and 2 for Shopify Rebellion to beat rivals TSM, SabeRLight- responded by saying he just stopped “choking”

“It was just embarrassing you know? Bulba (Shopify Rebellion’s Coach) was telling me that I’m always choking against TSM so enough choking and let’s get serious. We finally did it,” he added to his initial response.

As Tour 3: Division I kicks off with intense matchups between powerhouse teams like Shopify Rebellion and TSM, the competitive spirit and playful banter between players comes to the forefront. SaberLight's interview after Shopify Rebellion's dominant victory over TSM showcased his confidence and lightheartedness, expressing his love for defeating their long-time rivals. While both teams have consistently excelled in the NA DPC scene, TSM's international performance has been less stellar, facing early eliminations in major tournaments. As the DPC season progresses, it becomes clear that TSM must focus on improving its international standings and accumulating DPC points to secure a spot in the highly coveted Dota 2 international tournament. With Shopify Rebellion's triumph in the first game of Tour 3, the stage is set for an exhilarating competition, pushing teams to strive for greatness and solidify their positions in the ever-competitive Dota 2 landscape.
