Following Gaimin Gladiators’ first victory of the season against Entity in the Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Western Europe (WEU) 2023 Tour I: Division I, Gaimin Gladiators’ newest recruit Quinn "Quinn" Callahan was approached by the panel for a post-match winner’s interview. During the off-season, Gaimin Gladiators only made a single roster change for 2023 as the team mutually parted ways with Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan as he moved to Team Secret.

However, the team found a new gladiator in North America midlaner Quinn, after he had a short stint with Soniqs before being released by the organization after The International 2022 (TI11).

Quinn reveals that he tipped Fishman for the memes

During the winner’s interview, Gaimin Gladiators’ Quinn talked about his recent move to Western Europe to join the team. He started by talking about getting used to his new team as well as being able to work together with his new teammates.

“I think fitting into Gaimin [Gladiators] has been pretty chill so far. I think, in terms of how I talk inside and outside of the game, like chilling and hanging out so far fits the team well so far. I definitely think that we have a lot to improve on but that’s the cool thing, like you started a new team and you get to improve and be better before you start to win matches. So I think that’s a good sign”

When asked about the match, Quinn admitted that the team played badly in the first game of the series however the team were able to bounce back from that game.

“I think resetting [after the first game against Entity] was pretty chill, and we screwed up some hero matchups. I also played very badly in Game One and as a team, I think we just giga-AFKing. After that, we were just like “That was kind of sus, let’s go to the next game and do better.”

Quinn ended the interview by talking about his rivalry with Entity’s captain Dzmitry "Fishman" Palishchuk after the latter tipped him during the series. While he stated that he has no beef with the player, he felt annoyed and stated that he tipped Fishman back for the memes in the next two games which Gaimin Gladiators won.

“I don’t know, he just started tipping me in Game One and I was like “It’s officially war now.” Like if you want to start a beef, I’m down to tipping you. I’ll fight anybody you know. Like, my team jokingly asked me to flame Fishman in the post-match interview if we win and I was like, “Ok, I’ll do it.”

Following their victory at the BetBoom Xmas Show as well as their first victory in 2023, Gaimin Gladiators are looking to build on its momentum in the WEU DPC as the season progresses. Gaimin Gladiators’ next opponents in the WEU DPC will be Team Secret on 11th Jan 2023, however it will be interesting to see if the team can get one over its former midlaner.
