The final match of the day saw the last SEA team in Boom Esports going up against heavy favorites PSG.LGD.
Despite Boom’s efforts, PSG.LGD will move on in the Lower Bracket after defeating the SEA team 2-0.
Following the defeat, Boom Esports were eliminated from TI11 and finished the event with a Top 12 finish.

The International 2022 (TI11)’s Main Event continues to provide surprises on Day Two as PSG.LGD defeated Southeast Asian (SEA) team Boom Esports 2-0 in the last match of the day. Boom Esports were looking to go further in the tournament as the last SEA team, following Fnatic’s defeat against Gaimin Gladiators yesterday. However, PSG.LGD were looking to prove themselves as the strongest team in the tournament.

Despite a valiant effort from Boom Esports, PSG.LGD ultimately claimed the series with a 2-0 scoreline as it eliminated the final SEA team in TI11.

Boom Esports vs PSG.LGD: Match recap

Boom Esports had managed to make it this far after a rise in performance during the final day of the group stage saw them barely qualify for the Main Event. However, despite all odds the Indonesian organization managed to defeat the defending champions, Team Spirit in the first round of the Lower Bracket.

On the other side, PSG.LGD were considered by many as a contender for this year’s International as the Chinese organization retained its TI10 roster. However, its 2-0 defeat to Team Secret saw the team dropping into the Lower Bracket.

Game One

PSG.LGD started off the drafting phase by picking up Monkey King & Kunkka for Wang "Ame" Chunyu and Cheng "NothingToSay" Jin Xiang respectively while Boom Esports went for stability as it drafted Mars for Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer & Lifestealer for Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong.

Boom Esports’s draft did not work as coach Chai "Mushi" Yee Fung would have hoped for as PSG.LGD dominated the map from the start. While Boom Esports tried everything they could to turn things around, PSG.LGD had the better draft as it claimed Game One after 30 minutes.

Game Two

With nothing to lose now, Boom Esports drafted a stable yet powerful lineup as it picked up Bloodseeker, Kunkka and Death Prophet as its core lineup. PSG.LGD on the other hand went for Drow Ranger and Ember Spirit as its main damage dealers.

While the game started off well for Boom Esports as Yopaj’s Kunkka & Saieful "Fbz" Ilham’s Death Prophet had a perfect laning phase, the late game saw PSG.LGD turning things around as Zhang "Faith_bian" Ruida’s Visage was constantly causing problems for Boom Esports.

Boom Esports tried to force one final team fight in its base against PSG.LGD, however the Chinese team’s damage output was too high as it destroyed Boom’s Ancient and their hopes as the final SEA team after 34 minutes.

Following the series, PSG.LGD will move on to face Beastcoast in the third round of the Lower Bracket. However for Boom Esports, its Dota 2 season will end here as it joined Evil Geniuses in elimination from TI11 today.
