However, despite a 10k net worth deficit at the 33th minute mark Polaris Esports managed to claw their way back into the game as they forced Boom Esports to fight them on Polaris Esports’s terms as well as taking Roshan before closing the game in a comeback at the 40th minute mark.

Polaris Esports makes huge comeback to overwhelm Boom Esports

Polaris Esports were the underdogs going into the matchup as they faced Boom Esports earlier today in group stages of the GAMERS GALAXY: Invitational Series HatYai Thailand 2022. Polaris Esports were not competing with their full roster, with their coach Nico "eyyou" Barcelon standing in for their hard support Alde "Tmv" Lapiz for the tournament while Boom Esports were returning from the Arlington Major, having secured an invite for The International 11 (TI11) and a Top 8 finish at the Major. It was expected that Boom Esports would secure the win over Polaris Esports, however the opposite happened as Polaris Esports secured a comeback against the Indonesian organization in the best of ones.

Polaris Esports vs Boom Esports: Match Recap and Highlights.

In the match, Boom Esports went with a triple core draft of Templar Assassin, Batrider and Saieful "Fbz'' Ilham's signature offlaner Razor supported by a duo of Tusk and Chen while Polaris Esports went with the lineup of John "Natsumi-" Vargas’s Faceless Void, Pangolier and Dark Seer supported by the support duo of Tiny and Winter Wyvern. At the start of the game, Boom Esports executed their draft in an aggressive fashion as Souliya "JaCkky" Khoomphetsavong’s Templar Assassin was steadily increasing his net worth while Erin "Yopaj" Ferrer’s Batrider was active around the map looking for kill potential alongside Fbz and Timothy "Tims" Randrup’s Tusk.

Boom Esports looked to be in control of the entire map as well as the series, having secured Roshan and a 10K net worth advantage at the 28th minute mark. However, Polaris Esports started to claw their way back into the series as they successfully defended their Tier 2 tower in the mid lane and forcing a teamfight to go into their favor thanks to Marvin "Xavius" Rushton’s Tiny tossing Boom Esports heroes onto the awaiting hands of his teammates, while Natsumi- , having an upgraded Aghanim’s Shard allows him to Time Walk back to full health and back into the fight while setting up a Chronosphere to lock JaCkky in place and killing him twice after the latter was revived, following the usage of Roshan’s Aegis.

Despite Boom Esports managing to regain their footing for a while, Polaris Esports forced out another teamfight, with Mc ``Lelouch-" Villanueva’s Pangolier creating space while forcing Boom Esports heroes to activate their Black King Bars (BKB) and the combination of Xavius and Natsumi-’s efforts to kill off Boom Esports heroes one by one by locking them in place with Tiny’s Avalanche and Faceless Void’s Time Lock passive and Chronosphere. The game ended with Polaris Esports going all in a mid lane push, forcing a final teamfight against Boom Esports in their own base and securing the win over the Indonesian organization.

Following the win, Polaris Esports went on to be defeated at the hands of Talon Esports after their series against Boom Esports, with the latter securing a win against Army Geniuses earlier today. Meanwhile, Boom Esports will get to rest as their remaining two matches against Talon Esports and Army Geniuses will begin tomorrow.
