During his latest livestream, Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov gave his opinions about his former team’s loss against Team Bald Reborn in The International 2022 (TI11) Western European Qualifiers. Nikobaby had previously spent 3-year with Alliance as its carry player, however he was released from the team following the organization’s disappointing Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season where it got relegated to the second division of the WEU regional league twice.

Following his release from Alliance, Nikobaby has stated that he will no longer play in the competitive scene as he wanted to pursue a streaming career.

“We deserved it because we were morons” - Nikobaby talks about Alliance’s loss against Team Bald Reborn

During a recent livestream, a viewer asked Nikolay "Nikobaby" Nikolov about his feelings after being beaten by Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski’s Team Bald Reborn during the TI11 WEU Qualifiers.

However, he responded by simply saying that the team deserved to lose the series as the team looked lost during the whole series against Team Bald Reborn. He further stated that he was not shocked after the loss as he had expected the upset to happen.

“How did it feel to be beaten by Gorgc [& Team Bald Reborn]? It felt like we deserved it because we were f***ing morons. Like, I am not even shocked by the loss to be honest.” said Nikobaby.

Nikobaby spent the 2021/2022 DPC season as a core member of Alliance. However following the organization’s loss against Team Bald Reborn during the TI11 WEU Qualifiers, Alliance became the first of many teams to undergo roster changes for the upcoming season as it released its entire roster into free agency as it looks to fully rebuild for next season. Additionally, the organization’s loss against a team consisting of streamers and tier two players saw the organization become a laughing stock amongst the Dota 2 community.

Following his release, Nikobaby noted that he will no longer play in the competitive scene as he wanted to pursue a streaming career. However, many people believed that Nikobaby would only take a long break from the competitive scene as he recently returned to the Southeast Asia (SEA) region to play for Team SMG at the APAC Predator League.
