With the Riyadh Masters 2023 around the corner, Quest Esports will compete at the tournament with this new roster.

Quest Esports, the up-and-coming team in Western Europe (WEU), is gearing up for the upcoming Riyadh Masters 2023 with significant roster changes. The team recently announced the addition of Abdimalik "Malik" Sailau, who will join as the new offlaner on loan from Navi.

The news comes after the recent departure of Ammar “ATF” Al-Assaf. This development took much of the Dota 2 community by surprise, especially considering the team's impressive performance under his leadership at the Bali Major 2023 .

Quest Esports Welcomes Malik: New Offlaner on Loan from Navi

In a recent announcement on Twitter, Quest Esports officially stated the addition of Malik to their roster, on loan at least for the duration of the Riyadh Masters 2023. The move has caught many fans by surprise, with just a few days remaining before the Riyadh Masters 2023 begins.

The player from Navi may be talented and will probably fit into the team’s playstyle but only a few days remain for the tournament to commence so Quest Esports may find itself in a difficult position as chemistry will have to be built with the new player.

ATF's Departure: Contractual Issues Overshadow Team's Success

Despite Quest Esports' impressive performance in the Bali Major 2023, the team decided to part ways with its offlaner, ATF. The decision came amid contractual disputes, which ultimately led to ATF's departure from the organization.

His contribution to the team was undeniable, as under his leadership, Quest Esports achieved an impressive Top 4 finish at the Bali Major. While the Dota 2 community speculated the reasons behind his departure from the team along with the contractual issues that he may have had with Nigma Galaxy, he later confirmed that his departure was due to an unfavorable contract offered to him by Quest Esports.

Here is the full roster for Quest Esports at the Riyadh Masters:

  • Aybek "TA2000" Tokayev

  • Tony "No!ob" Assaf

  • Abdimalik "Malik" Sailau

  • Omar "OmaR" Moughrabi

  • Oleh "kaori" Medvedok

As Quest Esports prepares to embark on its journey in the Riyadh Masters 2023, the roster changes have created an air of anticipation and uncertainty. Malik's arrival brings hope for the team’s success, while ATF's departure has left a void that the team must address. With the tournament just around the corner, all eyes are on Quest Esports as the team strives to prove its mettle on the grand stage once more.
