12 teams have been directly invited to TI11 which kicks off on October 15.
These teams will not need to compete in the Last Chance Qualifiers and will instead start their journey in the Group Stages of the tournament

The International 2022 (TI11) is right around the corner with tickets for the event even going on sale later this week. We also found out the 12 teams that have secured a direct invite to TI11 at the Arlington Major 2022. Prior to this event, only four teams had qualified for the tournament by virtue of Dota Pro Circuit points, but now we know the full list of teams that’ll be making their way into TI11 directly without competing in the regional qualifiers.

Who has qualified for TI11? These are the 12 invited teams for TI11

  1. PSG.LGD — China

  2. OG — Western Europe

  3. beastcoast — South America

  4. Thunder Awaken — South America

  5. Team Spirit — Eastern Europe

  6. BOOM Esports — Southeast Asia

  7. Team Aster — China

  8. TSM — North America

  9. Tundra Esports — Western Europe

  10. Gaimin Gladiators — Western Europe

  11. Evil Geniuses — North America

  12. Fnatic— Southeast Asia

We will be seeing these 12 teams in The International 2022 (TI11) unless something drastic like a last minute roster shuffle takes place.

Before the Arlington Major 2022 kicked off, PSG.LGD, OG, TSM FTX, and Thunder Awaken had secured invites to TI11. The four teams had amassed enough DPC points in their regional leagues, regional finals and the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 to ensure a place in the International 11.

Beastcoast became the first team to qualify for TI11 in the Arlington Major, thanks to the way the group stage played out. Team Spirit, Team Aster, and Tundra Esports soon followed with favorable results ensuring direct invites for these teams to TI11.

BOOM Esports was the next one to follow. Even though it failed to secure its place at The International 2022 in its match against PSG.LGD, it managed to clutch it by beating Team Liquid in an elimination match.

Following this, Gaimin Gladiators became the 10th team to qualify for TI11 after Entity eliminated Evil Geniuses from the tournament. While Evil Geniuses chances of a TI11 berth was out of its hands with this elimination, beastcoast secured the North American team and Outsiders the final two spots at TI11 by beating Fnatic in an elimination match.

Update: Initially we incorrectly assumed that Valve would use a calculation similar to the of Liquipedia's to determine the Top 12 teams who received a direct invite to TI11 and added Outsiders to the list. This was incorrect. Valve used a different method of calculation that meant that Fnatic has secured the final direct invite to TI11.

This has since been rectified in the article and we apologize for the initial misprint.

All these invited teams and the teams that will qualify for TI11 will begin their journey at the International 2022 (TI11) Group Stage on October 15. The Main Event for the tournament will begin on October 20.
