Team Liquid vs Shopify Rebellion: Match Recap and Highlights

Recap:

Game 1 saw Team Liquid get its hands on Lina for Michael "miCKe" Vu and used the overpowered hero to snowball to victory. Shopify Rebellion initially drew even in lanes, but once the mid-game started rolling Team Liquid had established an insurmountable lead and mowed down objectives with smart map movements. Artour “Arteezy” Babaev’s Marci was always fighting an uphill battle and eventually just couldn’t hold a candle to miCKe’s overwhelming damage on Lina.

Game 2 was a lot more even with Shopify Rebellion getting off to an early lead and taking control of the map thanks to Abed “Abed” Yusop’s near-flawless performance on Primal Beast. Abed was a terror across the map, killing off Liquid’s cores all across the map with measured aggression, save for one mistake. That one mistake cost them dearly with Team Liquid fully taking advantage of the situation and turning it around.

Team Liquid eventually went on to secure the 2-0 victory, pushing Shopify Rebellion down to the Lower Brackets.

To make it to the Grand Finals, Shopify Rebellion will now have to go through the Lower Brackets, starting with a match against Evil Geniuses on March 4 at 05:00 AM SGT. Evil Geniuses will have a massive advantage with the support of the home crowd, making it a tough challenge for the North American team. However, if Shopify Rebellion can demonstrate the same tenacity and skill displayed in their recent match, they have a strong chance of emerging victorious.
