Fnatic’s Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong is not one to shy away from a challenge, as he was recently invited as a guest panelist for Game One of the Grand Finals of ESL One Malaysia 2022 between OG and Team Aster. Michael "ninjaboogie" Ross Jr asked Jabz a few questions regarding both teams before asking his opinion on his relationship with OG’s Ammar "ATF" Al-Assaf on the panel, as the OG offlaner rated Jabz as a D-tier offlaner. Jabz responded by saying that he and ATF’s relationship is just nothing more than friendly banter, despite their differences.

Jabz Discusses Beef with ATF on ESL One Malaysia 2022

Despite Fnatic’s impressive run at ESL One Malaysia 2022, having secured a top four finish, Jabz and his team were stopped in their tracks by eventual winners OG, as they were beaten 2-1 in the Lower Bracket semifinals. On the last day of the tournament, Jabz was invited as a guest panelist for Game One of the Grand Finals between OG and Team Aster. Ninjaboogie, having previously played with Jabz on Mineski from 2017 to 2018 asked him which team gave him a harder time during the tournament. Jabz responded by saying that “I would say OG.”.

Ninjaboogie then went on to ask Jabz about his beef with ATF, much to the community’s delight as ninjaboogie later added on by saying “Why were you rated D? Was it because of something that happened in a pub[public] match?”

For those who are unfamiliar with the question, Jabz was rated as a D-tier offlaner by ATF during a comedy skit with John "johnxfire" Nathan Fernandez and fellow teammate Tommy “Taiga” Le on ESL One Malaysia 2022. ATF elaborated on his decision by saying that “He[Jabz] writes “lol” in chat and he copies me on everything.” Jabz and ATF had a history together, as Jabz once typed in all chatted “lol” and tipping ATF at the ESL One Stockholm Major during Fnatic’s match against OG, before OG made a miraculous comeback and ATF repaying the favor to Jabz by typing “lol bro” in all chat.

Ever since then, every match between OG and Fnatic is considered to be an interesting matchup by the community who looks forward to the offlaners battling each other over the beef. However, Jabz funnily responded to ninjaboogie’s question by denying any rumors that ATF and himself had serious beef with each other following the ratings and their previous encounters by saying that “It’s nothing serious, it’s just for fun!”

It is great to see that despite the rumors, both ATF and Jabz did not have any issues with each other from their previous encounters. At the moment, Jabz is currently traveling back to Thailand for a short break before Fnatic’s bootcamp, after traveling to three different competitions within a month as stated by Fnatic’s team manager.
