Invictus Gaming vs LBZS: Match recap

Going into the match, both teams had roster changes before the regional qualifiers. However, people were looking at Invictus Gaming as the favorites to win the series as its roster had more experienced players.

Game One

In Game One , Invictus Gaming drafted Monkey King, Lina, Mars, Dazzle and Marci while LBZS decided to draft Phantom Lancer (PL), Queen of Pain (QOP) and Pangolier supported by Enchantress and Earthshaker.

Although the game went in the way of Invictus Gaming in the first 20 minutes, the late game was heavily shifting towards LBZS’s favor as they shut down Jin "flyfly" Zhiyi’s Monkey King. While Zhou "Emo" Yi’s Lina was allowing IG to come back into the game, LBZS’s teamplay was simply flawless as LBZS secures Game One at the 50th minute mark.

Game Two

Game Two saw LBZS drafting Troll Warlord, Winter Wyvern and Primal Beast while retaining both Pangolier and QOP. On the other hand, Invictus Gaming went with a more stable draft, picking Spectre, Ember Spirit and Dawnbreaker supported by Marci and Skywrath Mage.

During the early game, LBZS dominated the laning stage as they had the networth advantage during the first 20 minutes of the game. However, Xu ``fy'' Linsen's Marci was crucial in catching LBZS’s heroes off guard as both flyfly and Emo managed to turn things around for IG. The game ends at 42 minutes as IG forces a Game Three decider.

Game Three

Game Three saw LBZS drafted the lineup of Lifestealer, Death Prophet, Tidehunter, Phoenix and Tusk. On the other hand, Invictus Gaming went with an aggressive draft, picking up Morphling, QOP, Pangolier, Earth Spirit and Ancient Apparition (AA).

The game was fairly stable during the first 30 minutes, as both LBZS and IG constantly fought each other while stalling the game for late game itemization. However, IG dominated the game as they just steamrolled through LBZS’s draft in the late game. The game ended at 42 minutes, with Invictus Gaming securing a 2-1 win in dominating fashion.

Thanks to the win, Invictus Gaming will play against ShenZhen tomorrow in the third round of the Lower Bracket as they eliminate LBZS to live another day in the China Regional Qualifiers.
