Highlights
Offlaner iceiceice has departed from the Evil Geniuses Dota 2 lineup.
The player had joined the NA lineup in November 2020, a month before the 2021 DPC season kicked off.
Earlier today, Talon Esports player Gabbi revealed that EG was signing Nightfall and JerAx to replace iceiceice and Fly respectively.

North American team Evil Geniuses (EG) have announced that offlaner Daryl Koh "iceiceice" Pei Xiang is leaving the lineup. Following the departure of iceiceice and captain Fly, EG is now down to just three players.. Artour "Arteezy" Babaev, Abed “Abed” Azel L. Yusop, and Andreas Franck "Cr1t-" Nielsen have already been registered to the EG lineup in Valve’s official majors registration page, and hence are expected to continue playing for the lineup in this season of the DPC.

Earlier today, Team Secret posted an image showcasing three ice cubes, which might signal the arrival of iceiceice to the European lineup.

Iceiceice leaves Evil Geniuses’ Dota 2 Lineup

Evil Geniuses announced that iceiceice was departing from its lineup through a tribute video that showcased some of his incredible plays in-game with the NA lineup, as well as his clownish nature.

The Singaporean player joined EG in November 2020, after departing from Fnatic. Iceiceice’s addition to the EG lineup saw it rise to great heights with two back-to-back runner-up finishes in the ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 and the WePlay AniMajor, which resulted in the NA lineup finishing on top of the 2021 DPC points table.

Unfortunately, that momentum didn’t translate into a good performance at The International 10 (TI10). EG only managed to secure a 9th-12th place finish at TI10 after an uninspiring run through the Group Stages.

Potential replacements for iceiceice and Fly leaked?

Earlier today, Talon Esports player Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte revealed that Evil Geniuses is expected to replace iceiceice and Fly with former Virtus.Pro carry, Egor "Nightfall" Grigorenko, and two-time TI champion, Jesse "JerAx" Vainikka respectively.

It will be interesting to see how iceiceice and EG fare with their new lineups.

Roster lock for the first regional league in the DPC 2021-22 is slated for the 21st of November 2021, so any changes to the Evil Geniuses lineup is expected to be revealed soon.

EG is scheduled to join the upper division of the North American league for the DPC 2021-22. The NA team will be looking to secure a top two finish in the eight-team event to secure qualification to the Major and rack up some valuable DPC points.
