Hokori Joins the SEA Region as BTS Pro Series Season 12 Returns to SEA and the Americas
With the conclusion of The International 2022 (TI11) Regional Qualifiers, many within the Dota 2 community expected that teams will begin bootcamping in South East Asia (SEA) for the upcoming TI11. However, Beyond The Summit (BTS) has returned with its twelfth iteration of the BTS Pro Series.
Earlier today, BTS announced on Twitter that the twelfth season of the BTS Pro Series will commence tomorrow (21st Sept) in both SEA and the Americas. The online event, which boasts a prize pool of $80,000 USD between the two regions, will run until 7th Oct, in two phases and will feature some of the top teams from both regions.
Hokori to join BTS Pro Series S12 in the SEA region
“#BTSProSeries is BACK for a Season 12 🤩🎉” said the tournament organization as it announced BTS Pro Series S12.
SEA region
In the SEA region the tournament begins its first phase tomorrow (21st Sept) with a total of nine teams being invited:

Boom Esports
Execration

Neon Esports
TNC Predator
Phase 1, or the group stage will run for 12 days and will wrap up on 2nd October.
Phase 2, or the playoffs stage will begin on 3rd Oct and go on till 7th Oct as the tournament organizers do not want to clash dates with TI11’s Last Chance Qualifier.
The most surprising news from the SEA region is that Hokori, a South American organization will be joining the SEA region’s tournament as the team will be traveling to SEA for TI11, hoping to gain some experience from the best teams in the region as both Fnatic and Boom Esports will also join in on the fun.
Americas region
A total of eight teams have received direct invites to play in the Americas region of the BTS Pro Series S12, which also starts tomorrow (21st Sept):

The Americas region will also follow the SEA schedule, as the group stages will conclude on 2nd Oct and the playoffs stage will conclude on 7th October.
Despite Hokori’s surprising entry into the SEA region for the BTS Pro Series, all teams from both regions are expected to have some roster changes from the regional qualifiers. So it will be quite interesting to see if the competing teams attend the event with different rosters.
