Beyond The Summit has graced the Dota 2 community with the return of the BTS Pro Series Season 12 for Southeast Asia (SEA) and the Americas during the two week gap for the upcoming The International 2022 (TI11) Last Chance Qualifiers. The opening matchup in the SEA region was considered a classic amongst the fans, as SEA powerhouse Fnatic faced off against TNC Predator.

Despite TNC Predator having a better performance in Game Two, Fnatic ended up dominating the series as it defeated TNC Predator in a two game stomp.

Fnatic vs TNC Predator: Match recap

Fnatic, despite having roster issues during the past month with half of its roster not able to obtain visas for the Arlington Major and Marc "Raven" Fausto’s absence from ESL One Malaysia due to COVID-19, were heavily favored by the community to win the overall series.

Game One

Game One saw TNC Predator drafting the triple core lineup of Primal Beast, Lina and Bristleback. Fnatic on the other hand, decided to counter TNC’s draft by picking up Timbersaw, Batrider for Armel ``Armel'' Tabios and Alchemist for Raven.

The game was a stomp for Fnatic as they were aggressively bringing the fight to TNC Predator during the entire game. By 20 minutes, TNC were heavily outfarmed by all of Fnatic’s cores as they were 11K down in net worth advantage. The game ended after 30 minutes, with Djardel "DJ" Mampusti’s Enigma securing a three-man Black Hole at the end to seal TNC’s fate in Game One.

Game Two

Game Two saw TNC fighting back in the drafting phase as it picked up a more aggressive lineup in Phantom Assassin for Philip "Asta丶" Torres, Tiny for Krish "Krish" Gupta and Batrider for Jun "Bok" Kanehara. Fnatic opted to pick Lone Druid for Raven, Puck for Armel and Visage for Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong.

Despite the early game going well for TNC Predator as they constantly rotated around the map to pick off Fnatic’s heroes, a few mistakes in the mid game allowed Fnatic to slowly rebuild its lead. The game ended after 33 minutes, as Fnatic secured the series in dominating fashion as it defeated TNC Predator 2-0.

Fnatic will play against Lilgun in four day’s time for its next match. However, TNC Predator will look to get back up tomorrow in its next matchup, also against Lilgun.
