On the other side, Kpii & Gabbi were last seen with Talon Esports & T1 respectively however they were both released from their respective organization after performing under expectations during the competitive season.
Rumors became reality as Gabbi & Kpii joins Fnatic for BTS Pro Series S13
“Hey Fnatics, guess what? Gabbi and Kpii will be joining us at the BTS Pro Series!
Ano, final na ba to? 🤔” Fnatic wrote in its announcement post on Facebook.
Following the announcement, Fnatic’s roster for the BTS Pro Series S13 has been confirmed as follows:
Kim “Gabbi” Santos
Armel “Armel” Tabios
Kim “kpii” Sau-Jing
Djardel “DJ” Mampusti
Jaunuel “Jaunuel” Arcilla
Fnatic recently parted ways with Marc "Raven" Fausto & Anucha "Jabz" Jirawong following a lackluster 2021/2022 Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) season, as the team placed yet another 13th-16th finish at The International (TI). The organization also faced many issues throughout the season, as they were hit with roster issues at the Arlington Major as well being part of a controversy where the organization qualified for The International 2022 (TI11) by 1 point.
Kim “Gabbi” Santos started the 2021/2022 DPC season with Talon Esports alongside Kim “Kpii” Sau-Jing, after being released by TNC Predator in the previous season. However, a lackluster performance in the first regional tour saw Gabbi move to T1, where he would replace Nuengnara “23savage” Teeramahanon. While his performances have slightly improved during his time at T1, he was later released by the Korean organization before the regional qualifiers in favor of two-time TI winner Anathan “ana” Pham.
As for kpii, he stayed with Talon Esports for the whole season as Talon Esports managed to promote themselves into the first division of the regional DPC league in the third tour. While the organization was able to qualify to The International 2022 (TI11) in its first ever season, the roster was unable to advance from the Group Stage after a heart-breaking tiebreaker loss against Entity.
Following the announcement, Fnatic’s newest lineup will make its debut against Xerxia later today in the BTS Pro Series S13. However, Fnatic also noted that the roster is only for the duration of the tournament, meaning that Fnatic’s finalized roster will be announced prior to the roster lock deadline on 9th December.
