During the latest episode of his podcast, Shopify Rebellion’s Tal “Fly” Aizik gave his thoughts on Team Secret’s newest midlaner, Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan.
He noted that the massive expectations from the midlaner have negatively affected BOOM’s performance.
Fly also explained that Team Secret is still trying to fill the gap left behind by Michał "Nisha" Jankowski.

Shopify Rebellion’s Tal “Fly” Aizik recently talked about the performances of Team Secret’s newest recruit, Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan with his friend on their podcast, Fly & The Other Guy. During the podcast, Fly gave his thoughts on many things like his current team’s performance and reviewing other teams’ performances in different regions.

However, while he was talking about the Western European Dota Pro Circuit (WEU DPC) Fly went into detail about Team Secret’s recent struggles as well as their newest recruit.

Fly thinks that fans are putting too much pressure on BOOM

During the off-season, Miroslav "BOOM" Bičan came over from Gaimin Gladiators and joined Team Secret following Michał "Nisha" Jankowski’s departure to Team Liquid. However, the move has not worked out so well for BOOM so far.

Halfway through the podcast, Fly and his co-host talked about the WEU DPC. Fly dove straight into talking about the latest hot news from the region which was Team Secret. He felt that the criticism by the community towards BOOM was unjustified as many were expecting the Czech midlaner to hit the ground running after replacing Nisha.

“I don't think BOOM is the problem, because he joined the team replacing Nisha, who is arguably one of the best players on the planet. Now everyone is looking at him, because the team played in the grand finals of The International. And there is a lot of pressure on BOOM because of that. Everyone is discussing the replacement, watching games and broadcasts, writing on Reddit, "And this is the guy who replaced Nisha?”

He then pointed out that BOOM can be as great of a player as Nisha, however the pressure from the fans and community alike is negatively affecting his performance. Additionally, he also believes that Clement "Puppey" Ivanov can lead Team Secret into becoming a successful team as he did in the past, but also noted that the captain needed time.

“He can be a great player, but the pressure of audience expectations keeps him from showing his full potential. I've watched almost every Team Secret game and I can't say the team played badly in any way. It's just that BOOM is not Nisha, it's a completely different team now. I think this squad just hasn't found its game yet. But knowing that Puppey is the captain there, I think the team will be able to adapt given enough time.”

Team Secret is currently at the bottom of the WEU DPC standings with four consecutive losses. Additionally, a loss against TI11 (The International 2022) champions Tundra Esports tomorrow will put the team in serious danger of being relegated to Division II.
