Just a week before the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 officially kicks off, ESL has revealed the lineups for both groups which will split all 14 teams competing in the event into two groups. Starting on May 12 and running until May 15, the two groups will each feature seven teams playing against each other in a full round-robin, which means every team will play two games against each other team in the group stages of the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022.
The top four teams from each group will be placed in the upper bracket of the ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 playoffs. The 5th-6th place teams will be placed in the lower bracket while the last placed team will be eliminated from the tournament ahead of the main event.

The Group Stage draw has placed T1 and BOOM Esports in Group A whilst the other SEA representative, Fnatic, will start off in Group B. The eagerly awaited Team Spirit vs BOOM Esports match up (thanks to Illya "Yatoro" Mulyarchuk’s comments about the latter) will also not take place in the group stage of the Stockholm Major 2022. Fans might have to wait until the playoffs to see the two powerhouses go up against each other.
The Group Stage will feature two groups of seven teams each featuring teams from Western Europe, Eastern Europe, North America, South American and Southeast Asia. The Chinese region will not be competing at the major due to severe lockdown restrictions preventing teams from traveling outside the country. Teams from China are competing in the China Dota 2 Pro Circuit 2021-22 Tour 2 Regional Final as a result.
The ESL One Stockholm Major 2022 will be held from May 12 to May 22 in Stockholm, Sweden (with live spectators). $500K USD in prize money and 3,530 DPC points will be on the line in this event.
