Entity’s Alimzhan "watson" Islambekov has officially joined the likes of Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon & Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko in reaching the fabled milestone of 13,000 MMR (Matchmaking Rating). The young explosive carry player has already caught up to both 23savage & Pure within a couple of months, while other professionals of the game are still battling to reach even 12K in some regions.
Watson joins the elite 13K MMR club
Watson expressed joy at hitting the fabled milestone on his Telegram channel with a simple caption, “FINALLY”.
A couple of hours later, Entity congratulated watson on his newest accomplishment with a poster referencing the iconic TV show, Game of Thrones.
So far, there have been only two other players who have achieved the same milestone as watson. The record-breaker, Talon Esports’ Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon defied all odds as he became the first ever Dota 2 player to achieve the milestone in what could arguably be the toughest region to gain MMR in back in mid December.
However, back in mid January, BetBoom Team’s Ivan "Pure" Moskalenko followed in 23savage’s footsteps as he also achieved the milestone in his native region of Eastern Europe, while also becoming the second person to do it so far.
Despite currently being involved in the Lima Major with Entity, the player managed to find some free time to grind ranked matches. However, according to his Dota 2 Pro Tracker profile, watson has only played a total of 6 games in the last eight days, with all of his matches played in the South American region against players from other teams that are currently attending the Major.
Despite the region currently being stacked with some of the best players in the current competitive scene, watson was still able to accomplish the fabled milestone against all odds.
Currently, watson along with Entity is currently in 3rd place in group B of the Lima Major Group Stage. The team will be able to secure a place in the Upper Bracket if they continue to improve on their current form.
