EHOME Advance to the Grand Final of TI10 China Qualifiers

A spot in the Grand Finals of The International 10 (TI10) China Qualifier has been secured as EHOME takes a 2-1 win over Elephant in the upper bracket final. While the matchup seemed pretty close, EHOME showed outstanding discipline and drafting against Elephant with which they secured the win. The star-studded squad of Elephant falls short once more as it seems like they just aren’t completely in sync. Elephant did not live up to their expectations before in the Chinese DPC season, failing to secure a direct invite to TI despite boasting an All-Star lineup. It seems like they need to make it work one way or the other to stand a chance to secure a TI10 spot.

EHOME Overwhelms Elephant and secure a spot at the Grand Final of TI10 China Qualifier

Game one saw EHOME take a well-fought win against Elephant. While EHOME was ahead for the better part of the game, Elephant took some excellent fights in the mid-game that helped even out the net worth. However, Elephant’s carry Medusa made a questionable decision in the late game by purchasing a Divine Rapier which Elephant soon lost to EHOME’s mid Templar Assassin after which EHOME quickly secured the win.

Game two saw the behemoth that is Terrorblade secure a return win for Elephant, keeping them in the series. Elephant had a solid game overall, managing to stay ahead of EHOME for most of the duration of the game. Eurus on the Terrorblade was simply given too much free farm and simply washed over EHOME when it came to a fight. Elephant managed to take a very risky Roshan fight in the late game and won it somehow, immediately ending the second game.

Game 3 saw EHOME overwhelming Elephant’s attempt at playing the carry Axe which couldn’t hold against EHOME’s late-game carries of Phantom Assassin and Lina. Elephant came out ahead in the laning stage with Eurus on the Axe getting complete free farm and domination on the map. Despite winning many of the mid-game fights, once EHOME’s PA and Doom came online in the late game, Elephant had nothing left in the tank to stop the onslaught.

With this win, EHOME has only one more series keeping them from the single TI10 spot that is the champion’s prize in the TI10 qualifier. EHOME has been a steady team in the Chinese region but has always fallen just short of the likes of PSG.LGD or Team Aster. Currently, however, they remain undefeated in their run through the upper bracket, nigh-unstoppable, and look to be the team that will take it all in the TI10 China qualifier.

We will see Elephant fight for a rematch against EHOME in the lower bracket finals where they will face the winner of Team Magma vs Royal Never Give Up. Team Magma started in the first round of the lower bracket and has won every single series on their way through. Will they achieve the ultimate lower bracket run, or will Elephant bounce back to win the China qualifier?
