Recap

Thunder Awaken vs Nigma Galaxy - Game One

Nigma Galaxy went with a triple core line of Pangolier for SumaiL, Dawnbreaker for Ivan "MinD_ContRoL" Ivanov and Morphling for Randy "Dreamocel" Sapoetra. Thunder Awaken answered with Mars for Herrera "Darkmago" Gonzalo, Timbersaw for Rafael "Sacred" Yonatan and Crhistian "Pakazs" Casanova for the Monkey King.

The early game started decently for both teams, with both Nigma Galaxy and Thunder Awaken managing to sustain during the first 20 minutes of the game and. However, after that the game went heavily in the favor of Thunder Awaken as its teamfight potential on the Mars, Timbersaw and Monkey King combined with the Farith "Matthew" Puente’s Snapfire dominated Nigma Galaxy’s mobile draft. Despite a glimpse of hope from Nigma Galaxy, Thunder Awaken’s draft was too much for them as it called the game at the 36th minute mark.

Thunder Awaken vs Nigma Galaxy - Game Two

Game Two saw Nigma Galaxy turning up the tempo as they drafted an aggressive core lineup of Faceless Void, Queen of Pain (QOP) and Necrophos while Thunder Awaken retained its Timbersaw and Winter Wyvern lineup, while picking up Sven, Ember Spirit and Hoodwink.

The first 20 minutes of the game saw Nigma Galaxy picking off Thunder Awaken’s heroes back to back, with SumaiL and MinD_ContRoL on the QOP and Necrophos combo constantly killing off DarkMago on the Ember Spirit. However, Pakazs’s Sven was dealing most of Thunder Awaken damage output, as he started to initiate the fights for his team and helped his team taking objectives and kills over the map.

Things started to get worse for Nigma Galaxy as Dreamocel’s Faceless Void and SumaiL’s QOP committed everything attempting to kill DarkMago, only for him to escape and heal back at the fountain while Pakazs counter-initiated, killing off Maroun ``GH" Merhej on the Rubick and Dreamocel. To make matters worse, Pakazs’s Sven was fully farmed, making it almost impossible for Nigma Galaxy to kill off Pakazs. Nigma Galaxy saw a glimmer of hope at the 34th minute, as they managed to pick off three of Thunder Awaken’s heroes, including Sven during its base defense.

Thunder Awaken, not happy with the teamfight, bought back on its three heroes as they secured mega creeps and also secured Roshan.Despite a valiant last effort to defend its base, Nigma Galaxy falls to Thunder Awaken as Pakazs secures a double rampage to close out the clean sweep on the series.

Thunder Awaken will continue its journey tomorrow, as it will face OG in the Lower Bracket Quarter-finals, while Nigma Galaxy will join TSM as the second elimination of the day at ESL One Malaysia 2022.
