Dota 2 Streamer Mason Gets Banned from Twitch
Popular Dota 2 streamer Mason "mason" Venne was recently banned from Twitch while streaming his games on the new 7.33 patch. The exact reason behind the ban is unknown, but fans speculate that it may be due to his behavior on his last stream.
Mason's Sixth Ban from Twitch and Fans' Speculations
Mason's ban was announced on the 25th of April, and the streamer has not commented on his ban yet. This is not the first time Mason has been banned from Twitch; in fact, this is his sixth ban from the platform.
Fans on the /r/Dota2 subreddit speculate that the streamer's ban may be due to his discussion of topics that can be considered racist, sexist, or offensive. Some other fans also suggest that he said offensive and racist comments towards Peruvians, however, this is not confirmed. Twitch has strict guidelines regarding these issues, and streamers are expected to abide by them.
Another popular Dota 2 streamer, Janne "Gorgc" Stefanovski , reacted to Mason's ban on Twitch. “Mason banned on Twitch. Thats crazy. I dont know, they need to call these bans ‘suspensions’ though, I guess he’s just suspended for a bit. Sixth ban, holy sh*t. Six bans guys, I have not been banned once, I’m falling behind,” Gorgc said.
Gorgc then moves on to read the comments of the /r/DotA2 subreddit, which had many comments insinuating that Mason would often talk about topics that go against Twitch guidelines.
Mason has not commented on his ban on any of his social media channels yet, and it remains to be seen how long the streamer will be banned for. It is essential for all streamers to abide by Twitch's guidelines and ensure that their content is free of any offensive language or topics that could violate the platform's policies.
